The nominations for the 2024 Producers Guild of America Awards have been unveiled ahead of the annual ceremony, set to take place on February 25.

In the Theatrical Motion Picture category, films like “American Fiction,” “Anatomy of a Fall,” “Barbie,” “The Holdovers,” “Killers of the Flower Moon,” “Maestro,” “Oppenheimer,” “Past Lives,” “Poor Things,” and “The Zone of Interest” are the contenders.

Formally known as the Darryl F. Zanuck Award for Outstanding Producer of Theatrical Motion Pictures, the accolade has historically been considered a strong prognosticator for the Best Picture Oscar, with 15 of the previous 20 winners going on to win the biggest honors at the Academy Awards.

In the Animated Theatrical Motion Picture category, “The Boy and the Heron,” “Elemental,” “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse,” “The Super Mario Bros. Movie,” and “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem” are in the running.

As previously announced, documentaries “American Symphony,” “20 Days in Mariupol,” “The Disappearance of Shere Hite,” “Beyond Utopia,” “The Mother of All Lies,” “Squaring the Circle,” and “Smoke Sauna Sisterhood” are recognized in the respective category. The PGA Award nominees for Sports, Children’s, and Short Form Television Programs were also previously announced, with “Beckham” and animated series “Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai” nominated amongst “Sesame Street” and “I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson.”

Final voting ballots will close February 15. The 35th annual Producers Guild of America Awards ceremony will take place Sunday, February 25 at the The Ray Dolby Ballroom, Ovation Hollywood at Hollywood and Highland, where the winners will be announced. The PGA Awards event chairs are Mike Farah, Chief Executive Officer at Funny Or Die and Joe Farrell, Chief Creative Officer at Funny Or Die.

The 2024 Producers Guild of America Awards are produced by Anchor Street Collective and written by Jody Lambert, Lauren Cortizo, and Matt Oberg for the Producers Guild of America. Branden Chapman is Executive Producer, Carleen Cappelletti is Co-Executive producer, Sunshine Sachs Morgan & Lylis is PR agency of record and Diane Salerno manages sponsorships.

We are proud to honor him and his many filmmaking achievements this year at the PGA Awards.”
