Phoebe Dynevor is calling out a sexist and ageist double standard in Hollywood.

The “Younger” breakout star, 28, noted there are more roles for “older women” actresses and “young men” but not female stars her age. The buzzy “Bridgerton” alum told The Evening Standard that to remedy this and create roles for herself, she is looking to produce.

“I have read some great scripts recently. And yeah, I probably shouldn’t be saying this, but there is still, like, not that many parts going,” Dynevor said. “There is such a space for male actors…There are so many of them. And they’re all great. They’re all very talented young men, and they do not stop working, and good for them. But you know, when I think about the girls my age…There’s way more room for them and there is still not enough room for us.”

The “Fair Play” star added, “It’s a really good time for older women, which is amazing and there’s a lot for these young men, but not a lot for the actresses that I know in my age bracket.”

While Dynevor led first-time feature filmmaker Chloe Domont’s erotic thriller that had a record deal at Sundance 2023 to land at Netflix, the actress is now looking to help “create” parts that are “missing” for twentysomethings in the current Hollywood landscape.

“I eventually want to produce,” Dynevor said. “I would like to create the material that I feel is missing. I don’t know when that will be, but it’s a dream of mine.”

As Dynevor laments being in her late 20s (she’s 28), “Feud: Capote Vs. the Swans” actress Naomi Watts recently applauded how the tide is shifting in the industry to carve out more roles for older women.

“I was told, ‘You better get a lot done because it’s all over at 40 when you become unfuckable,’” Watts recalled to Entertainment Weekly of her early career. “And I’m like, ‘What? What does that mean exactly?’ Then you think about it, and you go, ‘Oh, right. When you are no longer reproductive, when those organs are no longer functioning, you are not sexy, so, therefore, you are not hirable.’ That just made me so mad.”
