You’re gonna have a whole lotta Bradley Cooper coming at you in the near future. The actor, who had two big hits this year with “Limitless” and “The Hangover Part II,” has spent the rest of 2011 cashing in on the goodwill those projects created, with no less than three movies going in front of cameras. Well, gird your loins, ladies, pics of him in two of the films have surfaced.
First up, we have Cooper in the “The Words,” a promising film marking the feature debut by “Tron: Legacy” writers Brian Klugman and Lee Sternthal, and co-starring Zoe Saldana, Jeremy Irons, Olivia Wilde, Ben Barnes and J.K. Simmons. The Black List script follows a writer (Cooper) who, at the peak of his literary success, discovers the price he must pay for stealing another man’s work. And outside of that, not much else is known.
Meanwhile, just a few days after Ryan Gosling got motors revving in the first look at “The Place Beyond Pines,” his co-star/nemesis now has a pic for us to check out. Dug up by /Film, it’s a tad grainy but you get the idea. Written and directed by Derek Cianfrance, the story centers on Luke (Gosling), a motorcycle stunt rider who turns to robbing banks to support his son, but winds up crossing paths with a police officer-turned-politician (Cooper), kicking off a simmering generational feud that will also include their sons (Emory Cohen and Dane DeHaan) who are mixed up in a clash of their own. Rose Byrne, Eva Mendes, Ben Mendelsohn, Ray Liotta and Max Martini round out the cast.
No release dates for either, but “The Place Beyond Pines” should go the festival circuit sometime next year.
