Mikael Blomkvist Gets Inside Lisbeth Salander’s Head In New ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’ Poster

The campaign for David Fincher‘s “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo” has been moving steadily along. Last week, when some vintage footage of the accident that kicks of the story landed online, savvy viewers picked up some clues hidden within that led to a viral site What Is Hidden In Snow which has been slowly revealing geographic locations where fans can track down a framed flower like this — just like the ones Henrik Vanger receives in the book/film — with a signed card from Fincher. And tonight, another treat courtesy of MouthTapedShut.

A brand new, and typically great, Neil Kellerhouse-designed poster for the film has arrived with star Rooney Mara‘s goth noggin enveloping the trailblazing journalist played by Daniel Craig along with the film’s new tagline. As we noted last week, there has been some minor behind-the-scenes drama between Fincher and Sony on some issues, including key art for the film, and this was one of the posters in question. But it seems everyone has happily signed off on it, and if you look back a couple of weeks, you’ll see it was teased on MouthTapedShut and the design remains pretty much the same.

Take a full look at the poster below. “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo” will fill your stocking on December 21st.
