Watch: Backwards Driving & Futuristic Payphones Feature In 4 Clips From ‘In Time’

Andrew Niccol‘s “In Time” is released next week and Fox is gearing up for a marketing onslaught, with four clips from the movie hitting in the last few days. For your appraisal, we’ve gathered the lot and posted them below.

Starring Justin Timberlake, Amanda Seyfried, Cillian Murphy and Olivia Wilde, the story takes place in a future where no one ages past 25 and time is currency. Will Salas (Timberlake) is accused of murder and theft of a huge quantity of time and has to go on the run, taking Seyfried hostage. And even though we’re being taken cinematically into the future, everything about the film feels very much rooted in a cliche present. The clips are slick and elegant to look at, but are hardly memorable aside from Murphy making the most of his villainous turn. We’re not sure how payphones still exist in the future but they do and even the backwards car chase pretty much just made us long to watch the much more exciting sequence in “Drive” again. But if anything, these clips show that even if you’re on the run, there is always a way to squeeze in time (SEE WHAT WE DID THERE?) to make-out, especially if you’re Timberlake and Seyfried.

“In Time” opens on October 28th. Clips below. [Moviefone/IGN/Yahoo]
