Chilean director Cristián Jiménez’s (“Bonsai”) “Voice Over” is a dramedy which follows the trials and tribulations of a washed-up actress named Sophia (Ingrid Isensee). Sophia has taken a year-long vow to disconnect from technology (in addition to her marriage) in order to focus on voice over work. Complications with moving back home thicken with the return of her sister and the splintering of her parents.
“Voice Over” also stars Paulina Garcìaí and Niels Schneider. The film will make its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival on September 6.
