We fully admit, upon seeing the first trailer for Adam Sandler‘s “Jack And Jill,” we were not impressed, however a sea change of opinion may be happening around our offices. It might be due to a carbon monoxide leak we should probably look into, but we’re going to put forth a new theory: “Jack And Jill” is the movie Adam Sandler was born to make.
Seriously, what is not to like? It has Al Pacinoplaying himself, Adam Sandler playing two characters and dressing in drag, a holiday theme…what more do you want? Granted, the only way we’ll watch this thing is after ingesting a six-pack first, but by God, it has all the making of a Stupid Comedy Classic. Hell, look no further than the poster for the movie that just popped up over at Box Office Mojo. Even though nobody could even be bothered to give this thing even a rudimentary impression that it was made by a graphic designer, in its own brilliant way, it trumps every minimalist bit of poster art that is farted online every week. This is some kind of idiot savant genius work. It says nothing and yet it says everything you need to know about this movie.
So, revel in the glory of dual Sandlers below while we go make a phone call to get somebody in here to check out that leak. It may be affecting our judgement.
