Trailer For Maggie Gyllenhaal Vibrator Comedy ‘Hysteria’ & Emily Blunt In ‘Your Sister’s Sister’

Looking for some excitement? Maybe a little bit of a buzz to boost your mood? Yeah, we could throw around double entendres all day, but let’s just get straight to it, shall we?

A period-based comedy about the invention of the vibrator. Well, we’ll give it points for originality, but can director Tanya Wexler pull it off? We’ll soon see, but she has a great cast to help bring this one to climax the big screen. Starring Maggie Gyllenhaal, Hugh Dancy, Jonathan Pryce, Rupert Everett and Felicity Jones, the film will center on Dancy and Pryce as doctors in Victorian-era London who are treating cases of hysteria — a condition said to be characterized at the time by a woman’s irritability, anger or unexplained tears — and their new electrical device for treatment of the ailment. Gyllenhaal portrays the daughter of Pryce’s character and we’re guessing things will get very heated. (Okay, we’re done with the puns). Pics, synopsis & handjob heavy trailer below.

A romantic comedy based on the surprising truth of how Mortimer Granville came up with the world’s first electro-mechanical vibrator in the name of medical science. Academy Award® nominee Maggie Gyllenhaal and Hugh Dancy headline in this untold tale of a young Victorian doctor’s quest to figure out the key to women’s happiness. Also starring Jonathan Pryce, Rupert Everett and Felicity Jones.

Indie stalwart Lynn Shelton, who broke out with “Humpday” back in 2009, returns to her low-fi, semi-improvisatory ways with “Your Sister’s Sister” but has boosted up the talent profile ever so slightly. Starring Emily Blunt, Rosemarie DeWitt and Mark Duplass, the romantic comedy finds the latter playing a man, in mourning after the death of his brother, who finds love and direction in an unlikely place, and in the process comes between two sisters (Blunt and DeWitt).
