So, ‘Hunger Games‘ fans, here is the first teaser trailer for the film and the big question is: how does Jennifer Lawrence fare as the book’s hero, Katniss Everdeen?
Not all the fans of the books have been won over by the casting thus and with this first real look at the film debuting tonight at the MTV Video Awards, that debate will continue. But for the rest of us? Yeah, Lawrence is looking pretty comfortable with that bow and arrow. Granted, there’s not much in this spot (hell, it’s still filming) except for voiceover dialogue from Liam Hemsworth as Gale and Lawrence running through the woods and jumping over explosions but the actress looks like she’s holding her own in her first tentpole-leading role.
“The Hunger Games” hits theaters on March 23, 2012 with the sequel “Catching Fire” following on November 22, 2013. Check out the first taste from the forthcoming franchise monster below.
