Yet another very early look at “The Hobbit” and with the film still eighteen months away from hitting theaters, it seems like the filmmakers are pathologically intent on making sure every fan approves of what they’re doing and the direction they’re going in.
No, this isn’t just a different pose of Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins, instead, it’s a brand new look at Dori, Nori and Ori, three brothers played by Jed Brophy (Nori), Adam Brown (Ori) and Mark Hadlow (Dori). The trio feature most prominently in The Quest of Erebor, an adventure recounted in “Unfinished Tales” that takes place before the events in “The Hobbit,” in which Gandalf organizes the taking of Lonely Mountain whose treasure is guarded by the dragon Smaug. The brothers are part of a group of twelve dwarves and Thorin that accompany Bilbo on his journey.
Sadly, this pic which you can see in full below, doesn’t show them in action and is more just a representation of what they’ll look like, but it’ll do for now. “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” arrives in theaters on December 14, 2012. [via ComingSoon]
