‘Ten Year’ With Channing Tatum & Rosario Dawson Gets A New Photo As Well
Did you forget about this? Yeah, we kinda did too, but last year Lasse Hallström took over from Bill Condon — who instead decided to make “Twilight: Breaking Dawn” — and shot the rom-com “Salmon Fishing In Yemen,” and in case you didn’t notice a trend this afternoon, it’s heading to TIFF and we now have our first look.
Starring Ewan McGregor, Emily Blunt and Kristin Scott Thomas, it’s an adaptation of Paul Torday‘s bestselling novel, about a henpecked civil servant sent to, yes, introduce salmon to the Yemen. It’s also an experimental tome told entirely in e-mails, letters and interviews so we’ll be curious to see how “Slumdog Millionaire” scribe Simon Beaufoy handled the material. Will this be a long awaited return to form for Hallström? Let’s hope:

Meanwhile, also making a splash north of the border will be Channing Tatum‘s pet project “Ten Year” which he is producing and starring in. The thespian has rounded up up a staggering array of talent including Jenna Dewan, Brian Geraghty, Anthony Mackie, Kate Mara, Justin Long, Chris Pine, Scott Porter, Chris Pratt, Anna Faris, Ari Graynor, Rosario Dawson, Lynn Collins and Oscar Isaac in the story that centers on a group of friends approaching their 30s who reunite 10 years after college. “Dear John” writer Jamie Linden makes his directorial debut with the film.
