Given we’re still about two years from seeing Neill Blomkamp‘s “Elysium,” and that it’s likely that details are going to be guarded until that time, we’ll take every morsel of information that we can get for now.
Doing the rounds for her upcoming dramedy “The Beaver,” Jodie Foster spoke with the LA Times and while a direct quote would have been nicer, the paper let slip a minor detail about her role in the film saying she’ll play “a head of state on an alien planet.” So does that mean prosthetics and CGI for Foster? Or is she a human head of state? What’s the alien planet all about? Like we said, these are all questions that aren’t going to be answered anytime soon.
Anyway, Foster co-stars along with Matt Damon, Sharlto Copley, Jodie Foster, Wagner Moura and William Fichtner in the film reportedly set 100 years in the future that will have a social commentary element. Damon will be playing an ex-con while Moura will be the villain in the film. Also on board is legendary “Blade Runner” designer Syd Mead who will be handling set design for the picture. The film hits on March 8, 2013.
