Yes, it’s more casting on Paul Thomas Anderson‘s untitled Scientology flick aka “The Master” but don’t tell us you don’t want to hear every drip of info you can about this film.
The Film Stage has confirmed that sixteen year old Madisen Beaty, has joined the cast of the film where she’ll be rubbing shoulders with Philip Seymour Hoffman, Joaquin Phoenix, Amy Adams, Jesse Plemons, David Warshofsky, Laura Dern, Lena Endre and Rami Malek. The actress was first mentioned to be in discussions for the film last month, but she is now confirmed, although her role is not known at this time. However, earlier today Malek was revealed to be playing the brother-in-law of the religious leader Lancaster Dodd (Hoffman) and his wife Mary-Sue (Adams), who is married to their nineteen year old daughter. Could Beaty be filling in that role? Guess we’ll soon see.
Beaty is a relative fresh face with a short resume that is highlighted by her turn as the 10 year-old Daisy in David Fincher‘s “The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button.” Working with Fincher and Andersen before the age of twenty? That’s not too bad at all. Production on the film begins later this month.
