New International ‘The Muppets’ Poster Continues The Fun

“Fun” is a pretty vague descriptor, an adjective that’s easy to use but doesn’t do much when trying to accurately capture the vibe of a film. But every now and then, there is the exception that proves the rules. For “The Muppets” the only word that can be used to describe what has been seen of the film thus far is “fun.”

Even though it’s not set to hit theaters until Thanksgiving, the film has been building up huge buzz thanks to a series of clever parody teasers and one great full length spot. There is no doubt that Jason Segel and Nicholas Stoller who penned the screenplay, and who drafted in “Flight of the Conchords” veterans James Bobin (to direct) and Bret McKenzie (to write the songs), have absolutely nailed everything that made the felt covered puppets great, and the marketing department is equally in tune.

A new international poster for the film has hit the web and you have to be made of stone if you can’t get with the goofy energy the Muppet-stuffed one sheet has going on. What else can we say? Unlike other nostalgia vehicles, this one is hitting the sweet spot again and again thus far. It’s hits theaters on November 23rd and right now, that seems like an unbearably long wait.
