Yes, Comic-Con is over and regular life begins again, and while geeks were hoping that Christopher Nolan might pop his San Diego cherry this year and bring something — anything — from “The Dark Knight Rises,” alas it was not to be but perhaps this will tide fans over.
Did you watch “Stargate SG-1“? Yeah, we didn’t either but Christopher Judge, who played Teal’c on the show revealed on Twitter (via HeyUGuys): “I can finally confirm: I have been cast in ‘The Dark Knight Rises.’” Who is playing? Of course, that’s not known but we would presume that with production already well underway it’s a small (but perhaps notable?) part. We’re thinking something along the lines of Michael Jai White‘s appearance as Gambol in “The Dark Knight.”
Anyway, another puzzle piece for fans to obsess over. Judge joins a extended cast that includes Christian Bale, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Juno Temple, Josh Pence, Daniel Sunjata, Diego Klattenhoff, Burn Gorman, Nestor Carbonell, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Matthew Modine, Tom Conti, Brett Cullen, Chris Ellis and Josh Stewart. “The Dark Knight Rises” hits on July 20, 2012, but you knew that already.
