Toby Jones Joins ‘Hunger Games’

Bound to be less controversial than the casting of Lenny Kravitz last night in the role of Cinna, yet another actor has come aboard the unwieldy cast of “The Hunger Games.”

Toby Jones has joined the franchise starter as the co-host and narrator of the deadly gladiator battles alongside Stanley Tucci. The Gary Ross-directed film is an adaptation of the best-selling novel by Suzanne Collins about teens drawn by lottery into gladiatorial battles in a dystopian future. This writer hasn’t read the books so we have no idea who else is left to cast, but shouldn’t they start shooting this thing already? It’s supposed to come out less than 10 months from now. Just saying, is all.

Anyway, Jones joins Tucci, Kravitz, Jennifer Lawrence, Elizabeth Banks, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Wes Bentley, Woody Harrelson and a bunch of no-names in the film. Are ‘Hunger Games’ fans even still excited for this? Anyway, sets are being constructed and this thing will start shooting soon. It hits theaters next spring on March 23, 2012. [Deadline]
