Watch: New Trailer For ‘Fright Night’ Gives A Better Look At Peter Vincent

Is it just us or is “Fright Night” shaping up to be the biggest surprise of the summer? While we’ve been bombarded with marketing for superhero movies, “Fright Night” has been playing it cool, slowly building up word. The first trailer was surprisingly more substantial than we thought the remake would be, Colin Farrell impressed us in the first clip, and now a new spot that debuted at the MTV Movie Awards last night has hit the web and continues the very promising run of promos for the film.

This trailer is a mix of old and new, but most notably, gives us our first real look at Peter Vincent (David Tennant), the Criss Angel-like Las Vegas magician who assists our protagonist (Anton Yelchin) in his battle against the villainous vampire (Farrell). And Tennant looks every bit the sleazy Vegas showman his character suggests. The film continues to be much darker than we expected, with a wickedly mordant sense of humor. And the vampire loophole bit at the end is pretty great.

Toni Colette, Imogen Poots and Christopher Mintz-Plasse round out the cast. “Fright Night” will deliver the scares on August 19th. Check out the trailer below. [via ShockTilYouDrop]
