Ethan Jamieson & Tara Macken Cast As District 4 Players
While most of the “Hunger Games” casting so far has centered around the smaller names that populate the various Districts in the game (please see the most recent casting of Ethan Jamieson and Tara Macken), it seems that the filmmakers are not done headhunting for big names to join the franchise-starting film and now three more stars are being tossed into the rumor mill.
Vulture reports that Woody Harrelson, Stanley Tucci and Lenny Kravitz have all had offers sent their way, and while details are very slim — apparently agents and assistants are being forced to sign non-disclosure agreements — Harrelson is being sought for the role of the Head Gamemaker, Seneca Crane and we can’t tell you much about his character without spoiling some plot points so we’ll just leave it there. As for the other two, no word yet on the roles they are being eyed for. However, all this said, scheduling might be an issue.
Harrelson is signed to star in the HBO political drama “Game Change” which is gearing up to shoot this summer, while Tucci will be busy on Bryan Singer‘s “Jack The Giant Killer.” With careful scheduling we could see it working out, but it would depend on how large their roles are as well. As for Kravitz, his calendar seems pretty open at this point. Another name out there, it should be reminded, is that of John C. Reilly, whose reps recently played down rumors of his involvement so we’ll have to see how this all plays out.
“Hunger Games” will hit theaters on March 23, 2012 that with each passing day becomes a tighter and tighter deadline. But if “X-Men: First Class” can turn it around in ten months anything is possible.
