Daniel Sunjata, Diego Klattenhoff & Burn Gorman Join ‘The Dark Knight Rises’

Who, who and who? Yeah, ordinarily we probably wouldn’t give this kind of minor casting much notice but when it comes to “The Dark Knight Rises” we’ll take whatever we can get since Christopher Nolan and co. will be keeping details on a short leash.

Daniel Sunjata (“Rescue Me“), Diego Klattenhoff (“Mercy“) and the awesomely named Burn Gorman (“Torchwood“) have boarded the highly anticipated sequel. Sunjata will play a special forces operative, with Klattenhoff as a rookie cop trying to do good and Gorman in an unspecified supporting role. And well, that’s all there is right now. The trio join Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman, Juno Temple and Josh Pence with Marion Cotillard and Joseph Gordon-Levitt not yet fully confirmed, but likely to, as the film gears up to start lensing this summer in Pittsburgh.

Not in 3D, and presumably in old-fashioned 24 frames per second, “The Dark Knight Rises” swoops into theaters on July 20, 2012. [Variety]
