Exclusive: Poster For Indie Drama ‘Monogamy’ Starring Chris Messina, Rashida Jones & Meitel Dohan

Directed by Oscar nominee Dana Adam Shapiro (“Murderball“), the indie drama “Monogamy” slowly made its way to a few festivals last year, picking up positive notices along the way.

Starring Chris Messina (“Vicky Cristina Barcelona,” “Greenberg“), Rashida Jones (“The Social Network,” “Parks & Recreation“) & Meitel Dohan, the film centers on two engaged thirtysomethings, Theo (Messina) and Nat (Jones), who are stressing over their upcoming nuptials, and paints a portrait of the romantic implosion that follows. The picture was picked up Oscilloscope last year and has been turning some heads, landing a Best First Screenplay (co-written by Shapiro and Evan M. Wiener) for the 2011 Independent Spirit Awards.

We’re pleased to you bring the gorgeous poster for the film which you can see below (along with the full synopsis), which brings a distinctly Euro flavor to the film’s intimate exploration of 30-something sex, love and eroticism. The film will open in New York City on March 11th, hitting theaters nationwide the following Friday, March 18th.

Exhibitionism, voyeurism, jealousy, lust. Brooklyn wedding photographer Theo’s (Chris Messina) side business shooting surveillance-style photos of clients on the sly takes an unexpected turn—and creates a rift with his fiancée (Rashida Jones)—when he’s hired by a provocative mystery woman (Meital Dohan). The first narrative feature from Oscar®-nominated director Dana Adam Shapiro (Murderball), Monogamy fuses an absorbing mystery-thriller and a taut relationship drama.

The film was shot entirely on location in Brooklyn and downtown Manhattan at sites such as The Brooklyn Social Bar in Carroll Gardens, the Jalopy Theater in Red Hook, at a loft in the Navy Yard, at the Delancey Street tennis courts, in Prospect Park, and on the Brooklyn Bridge.
