Leven Rambin Joins ‘Hunger Games’ As Glimmer

The forthcoming “Hunger Games” continues to mix up names big and small for the upcoming franchise vehicle, and a smaller name has now come aboard as casting news begins to move much more quickly around the project.

The relatively unknown Leven Rambin — probably best known for her six years on “All My Children” as well as stints on “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles” and “CSI: Miami” — will be taking on the role of Glimmer in the Gary Ross-directed flick. A District 1 member, Glimmer will square off against Katniss Everdeen in the deadly gladiatorial battles in the film that’s based off the best-selling book by Suzanne Collins.

Rambin joins Jennifer Lawrence, Elizabeth Banks, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Dayo Okeniyi and Amandla Stenberg in the film that will be rolling very soon. It has less than a year to meet the March 23, 2012 release date that has already been set. [Deadline]
