Morgan Creek CEO Says No ‘Major League’ For Charlie Sheen If He Continues Being Awesome

Throws Lindsay Lohan Under The Bus In The Process

Granted, Charlie Sheen is probably heading towards a meltdown of epic proportions but you have to admit, his quote-churning flame out is far more entertaining/amazing/hilarious/tragic than anything spewed forth by Mel Gibson. And there’s an odd heroic quality to Sheen’s outbursts that we can’t explain but clearly, there are many who are not happy or impressed with the actor’s giant middle finger to the world, and Morgan Creek CEO James Robinson is one of them.TMZ reports that following Sheen’s recent statements that he would like to come back and make another “Major League” film — one has been in development for a while — Robinson has poured cold water on the idea saying, “I’m not going to risk putting Charlie in the movie if he continues messing up.”

“Obviously with ‘Major League 3‘ there’s a huge part written for Charlie’s character … but after dealing with Lindsay Lohan on ‘Georgia Rule,’ I can speak for someone who has experienced the difficulties of working with an actor dealing with addiction,” Robinson said explaining, “When Lindsay was doing ‘Georgia Rule,’ she would miss full days of work. When an actor doesn’t show up for work, you can lose half-a-million dollars a day paying the 250 other people there for the shoot and the costs for the set.”

Simply put, “I won’t go through that again. If Charlie doesn’t straighten up … I unfortunately can’t put him in the movie.”

So for those hoping for further adventures of Ricky Vaughn, you might want to cool your jets, but you needent wait for another “Major League” to get a plethora of comic gold. Among the amazing recent outbursts by Sheen: his announcement to RadarOnline that he’s signed a deal with HBO for a show that will “focus on the truth and the absurd!”; an amazing open letter in which he lambasts “Two And A Half Men” creator Chuck Lorre, threatening him with his “fire breathing fists” and imagining would might happen if he winds up in his “octagon.”

But we’ll leave you with our favorite quote so far: “I got magic and I got poetry in my fingertips, most of the time, and this includes naps,” Sheen said. “I’m an F-18 bro and I will destroy you in the air and I will deploy my ordinance to the ground.”
