New Images From Joe Cornish’s ‘Attack The Block’

Gearing up to hit SXSW next month, some fresh images from Joe Cornish‘s upcoming teens vs. aliens flick “Attack The Block” have arrived and quite simply: they look great.

Partly inspired by a carjacking he suffered in 2001, and partly by both M. Night Shyamalan‘s “Signs” and John Sayles‘ unmade script “Dark Skies,” the film mixes newcomers, most notably John Boyega and Alex Esmail, as leads Moses and Pest, with more established names like Jodie Whittaker (“Venus“), Nick Frost (“Hot Fuzz“) and Luke Treadaway (“Clash of the Titans“) in the tale of a gang of teens who protect their hood from an onslaught of invading aliens. Sound good? It gets better as Basement Jaxx will be scoring the film. Nice.

We’re digging the dark, gritty feel of the pics and we can’t wait to check it out. We’ll get our first feel of the film when the trailer hits next week; more pics below. [Facebook]
