So, will “Thor” drop a hammer of absurdity or will it manage to make something worthy out of a tough concept to bring to the screen? Hard to say, but so far, we’ve seen evidence of both in the trailers but we’re hopeful at the very least for an entertaining ride.
With the release date now about two months away, some new posters have arrived courtesy of IGN. They don’t exactly reinvent the wheel: the first announces The God Of Thunder with the most boring font ever while giving the whole thing a red sheen for some reason. Meanwhile, the banner shows off more of the supporting cast including Idris Elba, which is sure to fire up more misguided, nerdy racists. A group we didn’t even know existed. There’s still eight weeks to pimp this thing so there’s probably more to come in the near future.
“Thor” stars Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, Kat Dennings, Tom Hiddleston, Stellan Skarsgård, and many more and hits theaters May 6th. Full artwork below.
