We’re just two months away now from “Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides” and can’t say we’re really all that excited. The fourth entry in the water-logged series will now find Captain Jack Sparrow chasing down the fountain of youth and getting into oh-so-many misadventures along the way.
A new trailer has dropped and yep, that familiar theme is there and it looks damn expensive. Killer mermaids, Keith Richards, murky lighting — all the ingredients seem to be present but we can’t but feel a certain ‘been there, done that’ vibe. It would’ve been really nice to have heard some of the score by Hans Zimmer and Mexican guitar duo Rodrigo Y Gabriela that we hope will bring some refreshing flavor to the series, because as it stands, we’re pretty sure we’ve seen this movie three times already.
Anyway, Johnny Depp, Geoffrey Rush, Penelope Cruz, Ian McShane, Stephen Graham, Richard Griffiths, Keith Richards, Judi Dench, Sam Clafin and Astrid Berges-Frisby will all get wet on May 20th. Check out the trailer below.
