First 2D Look At 3D ‘The Three Musketeers’

After Milla Jovovich tweeted some behind the scenes costume photos earlier in the year, we now have our first official look at the forthcoming 3D “The Three Musketeers” directed by cinematic auteur Paul W.S. Anderson (“Death Race,” “Resident Evil“).

Actually filmed in 3D (whoa!) and not given some shitty post-production treatment, the film stars a surprisingly halfway decent cast including Christoph Waltz, Mads Mikkelsen, James Corden, Orlando Bloom, Matthew Macfadyen, Logan Lerman, Ray Stevenson, Luke Evans and the aforementioned Jovovich in a re-imagining of the Alexandre Dumas novel that will tell the story of the “the hot-headed young D’Artagnan [as he] joins forces with three veteran Musketeers to prevent the villainous Cardinal Richelieu from seizing the French throne and engulfing Europe in war.” All that said, we have no idea why Summit has chosen a shot of a bunch of dudes in old timey clothes walking as the first look for their 3D swashbuckling adventure. Maybe we need to be wearing those dorky glasses or something.

Anyway, “The Three Musketeers” swings into theaters on October 14, 2011. With Paul W.S. Anderson at the helm don’t bet the farm that this will be in any way watchable. [ComingSoon]
