Also Cast In ‘The Expendables 2,’ So We Guess That’s Now Moving Ahead Too
Randy Couture‘s Hollywood career has come a long way, relatively speaking, since appearing as Fighter #8 in “Cradle 2 the Grave.” This summer he had his biggest role to date alongside his fellow no-neck enthusiasts in “The Expendables,” and now he’s set to take his lumbering physique and cauliflower ears over to a new movie where he won’t have to stretch his slim acting talents too much.
Couture has joined the currently filming heist flick “Set Up,” featuring Bruce Willis, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Ryan Phillippe and Jenna Dewan. Marking the feature film directorial debut by stunt guy Mike Gunther, the film revolves around a diamond heist that turns deadly with Couture playing an enforcer (natch) who oversees a task handed to Jackson (presumably the heist). Snore. Oh yeah, it also appears that Couture has officially signed on to “The Expendables 2,” so we suppose that project is moving forward with Sylvester Stallone presumably reaching out to whatever meatheads he couldn’t fit in the first movie.
We can’t think of much more to say about “Set Up” — it sounds pretty tepid — but we will take this opportunity to draw your attention to the trailer for “Blood Out,” starring Fiddy and Val Kilmer, who has awesome hair in this and managed to find an amazing coat in wardrobe. IMDb says Lionsgate has the theatrical rights on this but considering it looks like it was shot on your mama’s new digital camera, we’d be surprised if it didn’t just go straight to DVD.
