Jenna Dewan Tatum aka Mrs. Channing Tatum Also Joins
We kind of feel for Ryan Philllippe. He’s a very talented actor who always seems to get saddled with projects that sound good on paper but end up disappointing for underperforming or both. After “Flags Of Our Fathers,” Phillippe starred in a trio of non-starters “Breach,” “Stop-Loss” and “Franklyn” and then popped up in a comedic turn in the underrated “MacGruber.” But now he’s set to take a page out of the Matt Dillon School Of Role Choices.
Phillippe has signed on to the dreadfully dull sounding “Set Up” with Bruce Willis and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson. We presume he’s taking over for Paul Walker, who first linked to the project but is now absent from the latest batch of news.
Marking the feature film directorial debut by stunt guy Mike Gunther, the film “revolves around a group of friends who are catapulted into the middle of a diamond heist that turns deadly.” Snore. No word yet on what the roles but we suppose it doesn’t really matter. Lensing begins this week in Michigan and oh yeah, Mrs. Channing Tatum (Jenna Dewan Tatum) is in this too. And that’s about as much time as we’re willing to spend writing about this one.
