Yes, we know, this is the third post in two days about this film and what can we say, we seem to be cursed with “Winnie The Pooh,” as just as we make a post, something brand new emerges moments later. So keeping that in mind, just after we posted a first look at the film this morning the brand new trailer for the film appeared online. So apologies if you’re seeing the word ‘Pooh’ on your screen more often than you would like.
Anyway, the first trailer has arrived and while it’s weirdly set to Keane‘s “Somewhere Only We Know” instead of featuring any of the new songs or a hint of Zooey Deschanel‘s rendition of the theme song, the overall trailer gave us warm and fuzzies for the days of yore when every kids movie wasn’t in pixel perfect high-definition melt-your-eyeballs 3D. We were charmed by the old school 2D, hand-drawn animation in the spot and it’s definitely a nice change of pace. We’re most glad we’re not going to have to put on dorky glasses to watch this.
“Winnie The Pooh” will hit theaters on July 15, 2011. In case you missed it, you can see another image and the synopsis for the film here and you can watch the trailer below. [The Film Stage]
