New EW Also Has Photos Of ‘Warrior’s Way’ & Woody Harrelson In Oren Moverman’s ‘Rampart’
Curious about the film “Something Borrowed” starring John Krasinski, Kate Hudson and Ginnifer Goodwin about a Manhattan attorney (Goodwin) who becomes involved with her best friend’s (Hudson) fiancé (“Melrose Place” star Colin Egglesfield)?
Well, regardless whether you care, here’s a first look of the film courtesy of Entertainment Weekly (thanks to the reader who sent in much larger scans). Directed by Luke Greenfield and adapted from a fairly soap-opera/chick-lit sounding novel written by Emily Giffin, like many, we might simply dismiss it or feel indifferent to its existence, but Greenfield is known for directing “The Girl Next Door,” a 2004 romantic dramedy starring Emile Hirsch, Elisha Cuthbert and Timothy Olyphant, which was far more entertaining and enjoyable than it deserved to be.
So while we may not have gigantic high expectations, we’re hoping Greenfield can once again deliver something that outshines its origins. “There are zany romantic comedies, and those are fun,” John Krasinski, who plays a platonic pal told EW. ”But this is more real. You know someone like each of these people.” The picture also co-stars Ashley Williams and Steve Howey and is due sometime in 2011.
The new issue of EW also has a new image of “The Warrior’s Way” (out Dec. 3). which stars Kate Bosworth, Danny Huston and Geoffrey Rush, plus a set-photo of, “Rampart” (out in 2011), the upcoming film by “The Messenger” director/co-writer Oren Moverman which reteams him with that film’s star Woody Harrelson plays a crooked cop a drama set during the real-life LAPD corruption scandal of the late 1990s. ”Oren has an amazing way with words, but he uses them sparingly,” Harrelson told the magazine. ”He says just the right thing — it’s like a key that unlocks whatever wasn’t working in the scene.” —
