A24 has officially signed on to John Patton Ford’s “Huntington” (working title) for U.S. distribution. Also joining are new cast members Ed Harris and Margaret Qualley, who will star alongside the previously announced Glen Powell.

“Huntington” is a revenge thriller that follows Becket Redfellow (Powell), the “heir to a multi-billion-dollar fortune who will stop at nothing to get what he deserves… Or what he thinks he deserves.”

Ford will direct “Huntington” (or whatever it is titled by then). He already wrote the original screenplay, which was inspired by the film‘s financier STUDIOCANAL’s “Kind Hearts and Coronets.”

STUDIOCANAL CEO Anna Marsh, Halpern, and Naftalin said the following in a joint statement: “We are thrilled to be working closely again with our friends at A24 and Blueprint in bringing this incredibly special project to life. John has assembled a dream array of on-screen talent in the extraordinary Glen Powell, Margaret Qualley and Ed Harris, with others to be announced very soon. We can’t wait to begin filming, and to share this wildly entertaining thriller with audiences around the world next year!”

Powell’s last few years have truly been “extraordinary.” He broke out in the summer of 2022 as the new Iceman, basically, in “Top Gun: Maverick.” Powell since co-wrote and starred in Netflix film “Hit Man” and starred opposite Sydney Sweeney in rom-com “Anyone But You.” He is also set to star in the new “Running Man” movie and the upcoming “Twister” sequel, the appropriately named “Twisters.” And then there is the Chad Powers series, which Powell will write and star in.

Ford is repped by CAA with Mike & Lowell at Black Box Mgmt, and Lawyer Morris Yorn. Powell’s representation is at CAA, The Initiative Group, and Johnson Shapiro Slewett & Kole.

Harris is represented by CAA, Julian Zajfen of Ziffren Brittenham LLP, and Jill Fritzo PR. Qualley is represented by CAA, Sloane Offer Weber, and Relevant.
