A24’s membership program is adding movie ticketing as a key piece of what the indie studio has dubbed its “relaunching” of AAA24. Apparently, the chocolate bars aren’t enough.
The tickets aren’t table scraps either: AAA24 members will get one ticket to every A24 nationwide release on opening weekend in select partner theaters, including Regal, AMC Theatres, Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, Marcus Theatres, and Harkins Theatres. The tickets will auto-populate in the Member Center of the A24 app for all U.S. members.
As of today’s (December 10, 2024) grand reopening, members should find a ticket there for “Y2K,” “Queer,” “Babygirl,” and “The Brutalist.” The next batch includes “Opus”starring Ayo Edebiri and John Malkovich, “Death of a Unicorne”starring Paul Rudd and Jenna Ortega, “Friendship” starring Tim Robinson, “Marty Supreme” starring Timothée Chalamet and Gwyneth Paltrow, “The Drama” starring Zendaya and Robert Pattinson, “The Smashing Machine” starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Emily Blunt, “Warfare” starring Charles Melton, D’Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, and Joseph Quinn, “Materialists” starring Chris Evans, Pedro Pascal, and Dakota Johnson, “Eddington” starring Joaquin Phoenix, Pedro Pascal, and Emma Stone.
There is a bit of an asterisk here. In its announcement, A24 cautioned that while the “goal is to provide a ticket to every movie on the film’s opening weekend,” there could be “some factors out of our control in some circumstances,” like availability at partner theaters and what it called “film-specific limitations.”
“But we’ll do our absolute best to include all releases,” the announcement continued.
The new AAA24 is not just a movie ticketing program — it’s existed since 2022 without the tickets, and none of that is going away. Prior to today’s announcement, AAA24 members paid $9.99/month (or $99 for the year) for what the studio calls “an all-access ticket to the full A24 experience, from theaters to your everyday life.” The cost remains the same.
The “full A24 experience” includes a $5 credit each month for buying or renting movies in the A24 app and/or for all purchases in the A24 Shop. There’s also a magazine subscription, birthday gifts, access to “exclusive content” on social media, as well as merchandise and other products.
For some more specifics, here is a list of what AAA24 members got/will get this month alone:
- 30 percent off for Black Phillip Friday (Members-only sale on the A24 Shop)
