Sacha Baron Cohen‘s creations of Ali G, Borat and Bruno are instantly recognizable characters, but what is often taken for granted is how much their costuming is a big part of what makes them so memorable. Of course, Ali G likes to drape himself in colorful tracksuits and bling, while Borat prefers cheap suits and one piece swimsuits. As for Bruno, he’s fashionable in a way that usually only works in magazines. For his latest character in “The Dictator” a new set photo reveals that Cohen hasn’t given up the eye-catching carb just yet.
We know July 4th is still a few weeks away, but it looks like one of the two parts Cohen plays in the film is already prepped for the festivities. Co-starring Ben Kingsley, Jason Mantzoukas and Anna Faris the film is described as a cross between “Coming to America” and “Trading Places,” with Cohen playing both a goat herder and a deposed foreign dictator who gets lost in the United States. Kingsley will play a Middle Eastern character, with Mantzoukas slotted as a sidekick and Faris as the love interest and owner of an organic food store. And yes, the details are a bit all over the place since specifics are being kept under wraps.
Filming is already underway with a May 11, 2012 release date already scheduled. Check out full picture below. [via Movieweb]
