Despite the reportedly rushed production — and what the ramblings of way-too-invested nerds would have you have believe — “X-Men: First Class” is still looking like the uh, classiest, of the crush of comic book movies set to hit in the next few months. We’re not sure what it is — the casting, the period setting — but Matthew Vaughn‘s film is thankfully devoid of the dorky stink that surrounds its competitors.
Another new pic from the film has arrived courtesy of Empire and once again, it simply looks great. Well-shot, intriguing, exciting. This time around, we get a look inside the secret lair of Emma Frost (January Jones) and Sebastian Shaw (Kevin Bacon). So yeah, so far so good — though while we understand why January Jones is being featured in every second bit of promotional material for the film, it would be nice to start getting a look at some of the other mutants.
“X-Men First Class” will deploy its ordinance to the ground on June 3rd. Full image after the jump.
