Let’s get this out of the way: “The Hangover” was a fairly amusing movie. It was also loaded with homophobia, misogyny and embarrassing racial stereotypes. More importantly, the questionable moral of the film seemed to be that boys will be boys, especially when it comes to violent, reckless endangerment, kidnapping and sexual irresponsibility. We’re not so prudish to lie about watching “The Hangover” stone-faced, but it did seem a lot like yet another apologia for the bad behavior of wayward men courtesy of Hollywood. Mostly, it’s movies like this that make our girlfriends think the worst of us. Thanks, Ed Helms!
So it’s only fitting for the sequel that director Todd Phillips and company would bag the mother of all cameos, with TMZ (bear with us, holding our noses here) reporting that former President Bill Clinton will appear in “The Hangover 2.” After all, what better way to celebrate male irresponsibility than to hire the man who turned America retarded for a brief period just because he wouldn’t be honest about a blowjob?
TMZ couldn’t confirm what his role will be, but were told by crew members he was filming a cameo. It’s the latest, and biggest, name to be added to the blockbuster sequel which appears to be racing with “The Muppets” for most cameo roles. “The Hangover 2” hits on May 26th, 2011.
