Have you ever had a fight with a significant other and never gotten the chance to address it? It looks like that premise is going to serve the basis for a movie.
Relativity Media has picked up the spec script “Timeless” by Bill Kelly (“Enchanted“) with Phillip Noyce (“Salt,” “The Quiet American“) in negotiations to direct. The film‘s sort of outlandish premise follows “a recently wed man loses his wife and discovers after the fact she has left him a fortune. Haunted by an unresolved issue between himself and his wife, the man invests the money to build a time travel device, just to see her one last time.” Man, talk about one hell of a guilt trip.
No word yet on when it will go in front of cameras, but we would imagine that any plans for a sequel to “Salt” are a bit of a ways off. Sunil Perkash, who produced both “Salt” and “Enchanted” brought the project to Noyce and will produce the film.
We really didn’t care for “Salt” and this film sounds totally cornball, but who knows, maybe there’s more to it than meets than eye. [Deadline]
