Hear About 4 Minutes Of ‘Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’ Score While Watching Razor Poster Get Made

Update: A new international trailer for “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo” has also landed. It’s essentially a re-edit of the lengthier domestic trailer but does have some brief glimpses of new footage. Watch below. [via ComingSoon]

The marketing campaign for David Fincher‘s “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo” has been pretty savvy thus far. Of course, there is the whole “fake” leak of the red band trailer this summer; the boob baring poster; the surprise showing of eight minutes of footage in front of “Straw Dogs” and most recently the nearly four-minute official trailer. But for the super obsessive, there has been even more to enjoy. Over at the unofficial/official Tumblr page Mouth Taped Shut tons of behind-the-scenes pics have dropped, as well as concept art by Neil Kellerhouse for posters for the film. But this latest unveiling is the meatiest offering yet.

With the site’s usual amount of fanfare (zero), a video has cropped up showing the theater-lobby friendly version of the boob poster being produced in a pretty nifty, gigantic-razor-blade-shaped version. But more excitingly, the video is soundtracked front-to-back with a generous slice of Trent Reznor‘s score for the movie. Following in the vein of his work on “The Social Network,” the music is appropriately colder, more ominous and atmospheric. More so than his last outing, it appears the design of Reznor’s work plays a truly crucial role this time around. In short: it sounds great.

So, it’s yet another tantalizing tease from a movie that will continue to unveil itself over the next few months, urging audiences to take a break from all the good cheer and escapist fare this holiday season. Feel bad on December 21st.
