Presumably, official “James Bond 23” news will be coming any day now since the movie is about a year away from hitting theaters, but until then rumors will continue to swirl.
Guessing the Bond girl has always been a favorite activity for the internet, and this Bond movie has already seen names like Frieda Pinto and Olivia Wilde being prematurely tossed around and denied. But this latest bit of intel comes from Twitch who have some well placed ears and eyes, so it may be more substantive than your average U.K. tabloid report. All this to say that little known French actress Bérénice Marlohe is said to have been cast in the coveted role of hanging off Daniel Craig’s arm in the next film. She has a very limited CV right now, entirely on French television, but she’s currently filming her first feature “Un bonheur n’arrive jamais seul” for “Lucky Luke” director James Huth. So what qualifies her for the role then? Look above.
If this is indeed accurate, Marlohe will get a major career boost, sharing screen time with the confirmed cast that so far that includes Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes and Naomie Harris, all being directed by Sam Mendes. Not too shabby. Anyway, confirmations and official word (and maybe some hint about the plot?) is likely coming soon. This still untitled movie hits theaters on November 9, 2012.
