Zack Snyder’s ‘Superman: Man Of Steel’ Confirmed To Shoot In Vancouver

Look Out Paul Bunyan

Get ready, Canada, because Zack Snyder is headed north to rock your world.

According to a report in The Globe and Mail (via THR) Peter Leitch, president of North Shore Studios and Mammoth Studios told the paper, “Zack Snyder’s next feature’s coming here.” And that film could only be “Superman: Man Of Steel” unless Zack Snyder is planning on shooting a super lo-fi indie without telling anybody about it. But we doubt it.

We’re sure this news will get fan tongues wagging as they try and make tenuous connections between the film’s shooting location and the potential villain (as if that really matters). But we can exclusively tell you Superman will be squaring off against lumberjack Paul Bunyan. Ron Perlman will play the burly lumberjack who dismayed at the urban sprawl into prime British Columbia forests begins wielding his giant axe against construction companies, workers and anyone else who dares inches into his coniferous home. The film will have an environmental message not unlike “Avatar” and will apparently be made green as well, shooting on recycled film stock, with every piece of equipment being made by recyclable materials and money and baskets of food being sent to shoeless orphans around the world for every day of the shoot. This is all true. For real. Would we lie?
